Staying Overnight at the Ed Center

Nestled in a secluded valley within the Philip Burton Wilderness and just two miles from Limantour Beach, the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center is a residential learning facility available for overnight rental by schools and environmental learning groups. With five dormitory-style sleeping cabins, a bath house, a main lodge with library, and a commercial kitchen, the Ed Center is an ideal location for community building, environmental education, and nature immersion.

Fees for Staying at the Ed Center

February through November, the minimum fee is $775 per day, with a total capacity of 38 people. Rates are as follows for additional people: between 39 and 54 people is $970/day; between 55 and 70 people is $1175/day; between 71 and 89 people is $1445/day. December and January reservations will receive $100 off each day. Fees are calculated per day of occupancy, not per night. All groups are required to pay a nonrefundable $600 deposit and carry $1M in comprehensive liability insurance.

Fee waivers and reductions are available based on need. Please complete the fee waiver application to submit your request. Qualification is based on Title I status, FRLP percentages, or other demonstrated challenges.
